A Samoan woman who is a volunteer in the disability sector has received the Queen Elizabeth II “Point of light” award in recognition of her work.
British High Commissioner to Samoa, David Ward, presented the award to Fa’aolo Utumapu-Utailesolo on Wednesday.
The award acknowledges and celebrates people from Commonwealth countries who have worked to promote the wellbeing and improvements of their communities through their own voluntary work.
