As part of operation Blue Pacific, the crew of USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140) with Kiribati shipriders on board has carried out a patrol of the Kiribati EEZ that included boarding Chinese and other foreign fishing vessels.
The patrol took in two boardings of People’s Republic of China-flagged fishing vessels and observing and querying other fishing vessels from the PRC, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Korea within the southwest Kiribati EEZ.
